Cotton swabs

Cotton swabs can vary based on stick material (eco-paper, plastic, wood, bamboo) and for tip type (natural cotton fiber, rayon, dacron or other synthetic fibers, or blended fibers).
  • Hygienic Cotton Swabs: designed for daily ear hygiene.
  • Cosmetic Cotton Swabs: featuring shaped tips specifically developed for makeup application and delicate treatments. These differences influence the packaging requirements, which must ensure hygiene, praticality and sustainability.
  • Medical Cotton Swabs with specific tip configurations for microbiological applications.
  • Industrial Cotton Swabs / Pads: specialized tips for cleaning mechanical, electronic and similar components.
  • Cylindrical Containers: one of the most common formats for hygienic cotton swabs. Made of transparent plastic or paper, they ensure protection, hygiene and praticality.
  • Square or Rectangular Boxes: a functional and hygienic alternative to jars. Available in rigid plastic or cardboard, they allow even more hygienic swab retrieval and are ideal for cosmetic or baby swabs (e.g., safety swabs). They also offer easy transport and excellent visibility on retail shelves.
  • Blister Packs: ideal for large quantities and for an orderly, well-presented product layout.
  • Sealed Bags: made of polyethylene; practical and economical. Available with simple seal, zip closure or drawstring. They protect the product from dust and humidity, maintaining hygiene even after opening.
  • Carton Boxes: made from recyclable cardboard — the most sustainable solution for cotton swabs. Perfect for brands focusing on eco-friendly packaging and reduced environmental impact.
  • Single-use sachets: available in paper, polyethylene, and aluminum-paper laminate. Ideal for hygienic swabs and medical swabs in single-dose packaging. Especially suited for hotel courtesy kits, offering strong protection from moisture and contamination.

Cosmetic Pads & Medical Pads

Strema manufactures automated lines for the production of cosmetic make-up remover pads and swabs in oval, square and rectangular formats for the medical health sector. The lines use interlaced cotton (spunlace cotton) or synthetic TNT, materials that comply with health, cosmetic and medical standards.
  • Oval Pads: for fast and practical daily make-up removal.
  • Square / Rectangular Pads: designed for make-up removal as well as baby care and hygiene.
  • Packaging Options: sealed PE bags — simple closure, zip or drawstring. They keep the product protected from dust and humidity, preserving hygiene after opening.
  • Moistened Pads in Jars: pads stacked in jars with snap-on, bayonet or screw caps. Pre-moistened with cosmetic or medical formulations, they are convenient and ready to use anywhere.
